Lavender Confetti

Lavender Confetti – Dried Lavender Grains for Weddings

Dried lavender for naturally fragrant confetti

This lavender confetti is actually gently gently fragrant grains and it comes from the lavender fields of Provence France. The variety shown on this page is in our opinion the best for use as a confetti for throwing at weddings because of its mild fragrance and pretty pale blue colour. You can use dried lavender as confetti and it throws like rice. The natural petal confetti is a variety of Lavandula x intermedia.

Dried lavender grains are 100% natural, biodegradable and venue friendly. In fact many wedding venues will only accept natural confetti these days.

Lavender confetti with a soft natural fragrance and good colour

These sweet smelling French dry lavender grains have a soothing honeyed fragrance. Our popular Fragrant dried lavender is our strongest variety, but this one is softly fragrant variety instead. We think it smells like Lavandula angustifolia.

How much dried lavender to buy

Big wedding or small?

  • A handful is generally about 10 grammes
  • A litre is ten to twelve small handfuls. For comparison one litre is very roughly 110g. Confetti is often sold by volume rather than weight
  • 1 kilo is the size of a small scatter cushion

Confetti containers

Here are a few ideas for how to display the dried flower buds:

  • Try individual glassine bags – these are made of eco friendly translucent paper and can be packed in advance
  • Traditional paper or cardboard cones
  • Confetti basket – guests can help themselves to a handful or two – grains are small so a liner would be needed

Confetti mixes

Lavender combines with other dried flower petals to make pretty combinations. At Daisy Gifts Ltd we make various petal mixes to match your wedding colour scheme.
